SK-Series modular instruments can be operated as stand-alone units or within a platform where several modules can be assembled to configure a specific control or measurement system. In fact, SPK-Series platforms accommodate up to eight instruments and provide power, clock synchronization, communications and module status.

For stand-alone operation of a single instrument, Signals and Systems for Physics provides the user with the SKN10 stand-alone module adapter. It is very convenient for wiring any required power supplies, module I/O or communication interfaces. If a simple point-to-point connection is required without any additional functionality, the SKN11 can be used as a minimal breakout board.
